I have been doing genealogical research since 1970 and was taught by
Mrs. Mary Keysor Meyer, who was the Librarian and Genealogist at the
Maryland Historical Society. I did professional research for others
in the early 1970's. I am a member of Maryland Historical Society and
Maryland Genealogical Society and my name is on the list of
genealogical researchers of the Maryland Historical Society and
Maryland State Archives.
I first started getting interested in genealogy in 1970 when I started
reading letters from my great-grandmother Mary Elizabeth "Lillie"
Jennings given to me by my grandmother, her daughter, Eltie Cordelia
Lawson who married my grandfather Israel Coleman Mathews.I had little
to go on,but gradually have collected and corresponded with many
persons and relatives of Jennings and descendants.
When I started attending the Mathews reunion in 1970 I gathered
information on the Mathews family and thru the years
have amassed so much information that it is almost impossible to put
into one book. |
